The TRUMP administration's 2025 National Security Strategy conspicuously excludes digital assets from its 33-page blueprint, prioritizing AI, biotechnology, and quantum computing instead. Released Friday, the document outlines White House priorities for countering global threats while advancing U.S. technological dominance.

Despite establishing a Bitcoin reserve funded by seized assets and championing crypto-friendly policies—including the GENIUS Act for stablecoin regulation—the administration relegates blockchain to the periphery of national security planning. This omission contrasts with Trump’s campaign pledge to be the 'crypto president.'

The strategy explicitly states: 'We want to ensure that U.S. technology and U.S. standards—particularly in AI, biotech, and quantum computing—drive the world forward.' No such imperative exists for cryptocurrencies, even as Bitcoin’s role in global finance expands.
